Other Ergonomic Products

While adjustable height tables, power carts and light duty go lifts are our core products, we also design and manufacture a number of other products as clients needs arise. These are just a few that we have made before and can make for you.

Ergonomic Lifting Machines

Ergonomic Trash Lift & Dump

trash dumperLifting full trash and recylcing cans or rolling trash totes to dump them into a larger dumpster poses many injury threats common to overhead lifting. Injuries include those to the back, arm and neck. The solution is an ergonomic trash lift and dump device. We design and manufacture a great solution!

The trash dumper can be mobile or not and operate from AC wall current or DC battery power. We offer two designs to lift the trash canister: 1) that simply swings the trash can out and over, dumping the debris out into shorter dumpsters or 2) a model that first lifts the trash can straight up then tips, dumping the rubbish from the can. The 2nd option can operate in small spaces, has increased safety and can reach a higher level before dumping. The 1st can operate within less vertical space, for instance if the dumpster is in a covered space.

Please Note: The photo to the left illustrates our older model trash can dumping device. We have a brand new design that is under development. When we have photos of the new equipment we will post them. In the meanwhile, if you are interested in a garbage can lift and dump machine, please contact us and we can provide 3D renderings.

Keg Stacker

Bulldog Keg Handler

Lifting, stacking & moving kegs requires heavy lifting, reaching and at time overhead lifting. These tasks pose a substantial risk of injury to the entire back, neck and arms. The Keg Handler lifts beer kegs from their sideways lying position of which they are filled with fluid and moves them to a standing position. The keg handler will stack kegs 2 high to be stored or moved to storage. Watch a video of the Keg Handler in operation at McMenamins Roseburg Station Pub & Brewery.

Floor Mounted Lifting Jib

This small manual jib crane is intended to be mounted beside a CNC lathe.  Its purpose is to provide lift assistance for tooling and fixtures that weigh too much for an operator to lift and handle safely.

The design features an enclosed wire rope to insure safety and a clean fit and finish.  The wire is transferred through the mast and out the boom using internal pulleys.  This jib has 74” of clearance under the hook and a reach of 36”.  The mast rotates 360 degrees on two bronze bushings.  The bushings provide a smooth rotational operation that requires just a few ounces of force to move the boom, even under pressure from heavy loads.

The 3D rendering shows the design of this new tool. Colors are intended to represent different parts and are not actual colors.

Ergonomic Grasping Solutions

Bowl Grab and Lift

bowl grabberThis particular device was designed for use in a medical lab that required workers to grasp, lift and carry basins. A worker had an injury that prevented them from safely and comfortably performing the task. The basic grip is a simple design concept: when the device is lifted it closes around the lip of the bowl. When pushed down, the device opens and releases the bowl. The basins are now lifted using a full fist grasp rather than two fingers.

File Knife

Grasping file folders to pull from a shelf can be dificult if an injury has occured that limits your grasp ability.

We developed a concept for a file knife.  The handle has a perfect 15 degree angle, is large enough to minimize pinching and has all rounded edges.  The blade is thin stainless steel with a small hook on the end.  The user pushes the blade to the rear of the shelf then slices between files until the hook engages the opposite end of the file.  Then all that is needed is a gentle pull to dislodge the file from the shelf.

Industrial Seating Solutions

Often the seating provided in equipment, labs, shops etc. can easily be modifed to create an ergonomic environment for workers. Here are a few examples of how we have created or modifed seating for workers.

ergonomic seatThis seat was installed at a WalMart store where an injured worker needed to sit part of the day. The space needed to remain usable by all employees, so a fold down seat was the solution.

The ergonomic seat will fold up tight against the wall.

There are many types of seating required in industrial invironments to help injured workers remain on the job and to help prevent injuries from occuring.

Extended Reach Pushing and Pulling Solutions

Dishwasher Arm

dish tray moverPushing and pulling trays of dishes in restaurant and institutional kitchens poses an upper back and arm injury risk. This power dish tray mover eliminates that injury risk and allowed a worker with an existing injury to remain on the job.

A food grade, stainless steel, powered arm pushes the tray into the large dish washer.

Privacy Window - Powered Open & Close

window openerMedical offices are required to have windows that open and close to protect patient privacy. Opening and closing the windows to speak directly with patients and visitors requireds a sideways pushing action with an extended reach. This posture poses an upper back and arm injury risk. Intalling a power option allows the staff to easily open and close the privacy windows at the push of a button.
