Trash Risks
Ergonomic Injury Risks from Handling Trash
When you think about each step of the task of trash removal, many ergonomic issues and injury risks arise. These injury risks effect janitors the most, but many times in busy work environments, manufacturing and food service the trash has to be removed frequently – requiring other staff to perform these tasks.
Trash Bag Lifting Device
Reduce Injuries from Lifting Trash Bags
Did you know that the vacuum created within a trash can from the sealed plastic liner can triple the perceived weight of the bag?
Here our all power battery operated Go Lift 7 is equipped with a jib and nylon sling to lift heavy plastic trash bags from outdoor trash cans. The use of the jib provides an additional 36″ of lifting height over the standard 64″. Trash handling involves many ergonomic risk factors that are eliminated with the use of our trash handling equipment.
New Rotating & Dumping Effector
Trash Dumping Device for GoLift

The GL5 GoLift is configured with a rotator tool and trash can harness for dumping trash. The rotator tool operates on a separate electric motor that will allow the tool to rotate in either directions a full 360 degrees. In fact there is no limit to the number of continuous rotations this tool can make. There is no power cord or hydraulic line to interfere with its rotation cycle which makes the end effector useful for winding spools, dumping, load positioning and much more. No need to bring to home position. The operator has complete control of the direction it turns and where or when it stops. The rotation speed is constant at about 2 seconds per cycle. WATCH A VIDEO

Facilities maintenance has many jobs around a large university. One of which is the collection of trash. At this university like many there is limited vehicle access and the distances between building and service areas are sometime very great. In this case the task of collecting trash around campus forced an exposure to neck, shoulder, arm, back and leg injury. The client had already suffered injury from this job and the university wanted to eliminate as much risk as possible to further injury.
