Battery Powered Lifting Cart
6 Wheel Power Cart with Lifting Deck
Product: Power Cart with Lifting Deck
Application: Moving Totes
Challenges Resolved:
In addition to the back injury risks involved with carrying and lifting large or heavy items, there is an additional shoulder injury risk involved in pushing or pulling heavy boxes. This lifting deck cart has a surface that allows boxes to easily be slid to and from the cart.
Custom Lifting Cart
This new cart in development features our new trunion drive system (TDS) located in the center of the cart. TDS shortens the turn radius by nearly 50% over similar size carts, allowing it to operate in smaller spaces. It provides a stable cargo ride and can be both self propelled or manually pushed.
This particular cart design includes a 30” wide by 60” long cargo deck that is electrically lifted and lowered by the driver. The client needs to move heavy items to and from the cart and so we have designed 4 optional deck surfaces for their consideration. Deck designs include; a smooth surface with rub strips embedded, a side roller deck, a front to back roller deck or the final option is a ball transfer deck. With each deck the cargo can be easily pushed off and on the cargo deck. Roller and ball transfer options require the least force to move payloads off and on the deck. The ball transfer deck will allow easy loading from any of three sides of the cargo deck with the same reduction of push pull force, while the roller decks can only roll the load along one axis. Either deck option will reduce push/pull forces minimizing shoulder back injury risk. See larger drawing.
